Ecobank Group regional executive for Central, Eastern and Southern Africa Josephine Anan-Ankomah says her four-day visit to Malawi provided an opportunity to listen, learn and engage with customers, the board, executive leadership and other stakeholders.
In a statement after winding up her tour, she is quoted as having said that the interaction with Ecobank Malawi officials provided important perspectives on opportunities ahead and the importance of strong relationships.
“I have been encouraged by the commitment and energy across the business and I am confident that working together we can deepen relationships and deliver greater value to our customers,” she said.
Ecobank Malawi managing director Raymond Fordwuo said the visit has strengthened the bank’s alignment with the region and the wider Ecobank Group.
“As Ecobank Malawi, we remain focused on delivering on the group’s growth, transformation and returns agenda by strengthening our customer proposition and deepening strategic partnerships,” he said.
During her visit, Anan-Ankomah also paid a courtesy call on National Oil Company of Malawi chief executive Emmanuel Matapa, whose firm is one of the bank’s key customers.
